Learn with question banks
Strengthen the concepts behind your decisions.
Question banks are a way to check understanding before applying it under pressure. Work through rules, terminology, poker math, and advanced concepts one topic at a time.
Choose a topic with a purpose
Start with a concept that appeared in a recent hand review or training session. If the terminology is unfamiliar, establish the definition before moving to calculations or strategic applications.
Answer and explain
Pick an answer and briefly state why. For numerical questions, write the equation and check which quantities it uses. For example, a call’s equity threshold uses the final pot after your call, not just the pot before the opponent’s bet.
Learn from the explanation
Read the reasoning even when you answered correctly. Ask Fisher for a concrete example or a different explanation if the idea is still unclear. Check whether you understood the concept or merely recognized a familiar answer.
Take the concept to practice
Connect the lesson to Decision Science or a focused decision drill. Revisit the topic when the same mistake appears in your history. The goal is to use the idea in a new situation, rather than memorize the question.
